BORN FREE 4
sorry i haven't posted in a while. nothing really to say until very recently. i acquired an 81 suzuki gs 650. i'm excited about that to say the least. i'm officially going to RIDE to the show! speaking of which, it's 334 days away. mark your calendars for June 30th, 2012. hopefully got some big news to announce soon, but that's all i have as far as the "news" portion is concerned. back to the Zook. got it over to my buddy Shane's place, where we got it running, then quickly stripped it of all the nonsense (gas tank, seat, signal lights, brake light, front and rear fender, anything that we're gonna change or toss). so far it's looking super legit. there's a couple things that need to be fixed but i don't think it's going to be that big of a deal. than again, what the fuck do i know. anybody wondering about what's going to happen to the other project, it's still on suckas. still looking for an ironhead or early sporty Evo motor for cheap. i'm not going to post any photos, cuz it's just getting monotonous for me to do the same shit over and over.

DEATH WISH CUSTOMS
as promised, here's my "review" of Death Wish Customs. Barrett Nilson is a super chill guy with knowledge WAY ahead of his age (he's 20!). but i can sit and talk with him about random shit like where the tattoo culture is headed, rubs and posers, and anything that might have any kind of importance for hours. i consider Barrett my friend even though i've only known him a very short while. Death Wish is pretty much a one man show, with his dad helping him out every once in a while.

here's his shop truck. it screams at every expensive luxury sedan that drives by. it breaks up the monotony of flat black customs and it's perfect.

cool shit all over the shop. this bad ass truck was tucked away in the corner. i can't wait to see it done!

a couple things he had in the shop. i'm so insanely STOKED to run that Invader as my front rim. he welded up the bars and was gonna go with an internal throttle, but as projects pile up, as everyone else, Mr. Nilson has to put shit on the back burner. i told him i loved them things, but i don't wanna run anything inside. so he's gonna slug'em and weld'em up. one of a kind bars. i fuckin love'em. and the front end needs a seal kit, but i'm one step closer to a running chopper.

this is Arturo's bike. nothing like it in these 3 cities, that's for sure. sick bike for an amazing tattoo artist. go talk to this dude and tell him Danny sent you. he's over at Freebird on clearwater ave in Kennewick, Wa.

here's a frame he did for his senior project. there's a lot of grown ass men that can't weld themselves out of a carboard box, and this guy did up a whole damn frame when he was in high school.

there's my frame. it's further (farther?) along than i would've had it. and my weld-on in the background with a corvair (i think) just chillin.
i know it's a shitty review, but so what? it's my blog. and i'd rather talk chops with him over asking the same bullshit questions.

and here's my "new" pick-up. a little standard cab short bed s-10. piles for miles.

Barrett
kinda weird for me to start a post with a dudes name. i'm not a scared a being called a gay. on a serious note, this fucking guy rules. anything i've thrown at him, his response has ALWAYS been, "yeah man, i'm down" or something like that. he doesn't come up with some fucking wack ass lame excuse about how much science and technology goes into whatever the fuck. he just says yup, let's do it. i said i wanted a set of bars a certain way, he just said, that's easy. i changed my mind and he didn't blink a fucking eye. i've only known the guy a few weeks and he's already one of my favorite people. like ever. look for awesome things to come from this guy and his shop, Death Wish Customs. i don't have any photos of his shop, but i do have a cool ass bike with some sick bars.

update, kind of.
so i think i've figured out what kind of engine i want. i'm in love with sportsters. point blank. no way around it. i love'em. they're small, loud, and fast. kinda like me. the frame (i'm having currently hard tailed by Death Wish Customs) is an old ironhead. so that's what i want. an old ironhead. if life was fair, i'd get a '78 Iron for 500 bucks. i'm not holding my breath. on another note, Barrett from DWC is selling me a front end for that thing, so i'm stoked on that. i've only got one photo to upload, sorry fuckers. i'm gonna try and snap some shots of the (DWC) shop and his other projects. all for now.

all perdy and ready for a new tire.

first of many.
i've had a few bikes in the past and i unclipped some shit and removed other shit to make them look better, with a little success. when i started talking to Marilyn about getting another one, she said it was cool, but our money situation, not so much. she said "why don't you build one?". fuck. why didn't i think of that? thus became the project that has started to take shape today. i picked up an old sissy bar for 10 bucks, which i probably won't ever use, but the point is that that's when it started. i started sifting through piles of rubbish, cycling through ebay and craigslist ads, and asking random people if they had any shit they wanted to get rid of. i've spent a little over 350 bucks and i've got the makings of a sick chopper. i knew i didn't want a shiny trailer queen. i'm not refined or polished, so i'll be goddamned if my bike is. lucky for me Barret Nilson from DeathWish Customs is a dirty sum bish too. i'm enlisting his help to hardtail out this Bronze Bomber, and probably a lot more shit too. i'll keep this thing updated with random bullshit through out the process and more than likely, other ridiculous shit. oh yeah, and my goal is to have this bastard done by Born Free 4...whenever the fuck that is.

frame and hardtail that's gonna be welded on...

i really need a pick-up
